    RELIEF

This is what it all comes down to for Rockwell American Services (RAS) and its clients.

With roots based in Texas and shaped by extreme weather along the Gulf Coast RAS knows firsthand the critical nature of emergency response and the need for temporary infrastructure to facilitate disaster relief and repair efforts.

With over 15 years and a perfect track record providing base camp services, RAS has equipment allocated and staged along the Gulf and SE Atlantic Coast and established partners that understand the importance of mobilizing with a phone call and meeting operational deadlines. Rockwell American Services installs base camps every year, all season long, for military training support in the field. When a storm arrives, Rockwell is ready.

  • WILDFIRE
    INCIDENT
    RESPONSE

Every contract awarded to Rockwell American Service (RAS) is granted with the expectation of meeting accelerated deadlines and performance excellence. RAS succeeds in this atmosphere which can be evidenced in its 15-year contractual history. The call to action to fire events is immediate & urgent. Unlike storm events that are assessed post storm, fire events are assessed at the moment of detection with critical efforts to respond immediately.

Support for this effort requires contractors, equipment and personnel to be exacting. Rockwell American Services' experience brings these components to fire incidents.

RAS is based in Central Oregon and as such has worked in every terrain and climate variation, from snowed in mountain passes to muddy logging roads to expansive deserts and floods. We are prepared and preplan for every contingency.

  • MILITARY
    TRAINING
    & MISSION
    SUPPORT

It is Rockwell American Services’ (RAS) greatest honor that the support of armed forces training and mission support is its primary focus and has been for 15+ years.

RAS has a contractual history supporting over 100 individual warfighter units and 20 national guards at over 30 bases nationwide. Some examples include:

    • Remote desert base camps for high security drone and robotics testing
    • Facilities support equipment and services to CONUS operations securing the Southwest border

Supplying efficient and well-planned equipment nationwide, logistics and services, flawlessly and transparently to create a seamless and undistracted training environment for the soldiers in the field, is our mission and objective. INCIDENT COMMAND POST - MAIN STREET

Rockwell American Services (RAS) has, in the recent past, been entrusted to provide a complete ICP-MS for the USFS. As we mobilize and install basecamps for the military year round – always for upwards of 500 -1000 soldiers and often for several thousand – we feel we are always prepared and honed for lightning fast response and completion of the critical ICP-MS.

YURTS VS CANOPY TENTS

RAS appreciates the USFS preference for yurts and as such we maintain an inventory of enough yurts to install several complete ICP-Main Streets.

Canopy tents are utilized by the military as command tents. They differ from yurts in that they have a slightly larger footprint (570 sq ft vs 600 sq ft). However, because the legs are 8' height, they afford much better interior headroom and overall interior space. Canopy tents are also a far sturdier tent in that the framework is 2" thick walled aluminum which is a point of differentiation in terms of withstanding wind gusts. Finally, the skin thickness allows complete blocking of the sun and containment of the interior climate control. The downside is they take slightly longer to install – 45 mins per tent. Rockwell keeps an inventory of over 100 canopy tents in both 400 and 600 sq ft sizes.

CLIMATE CONTROL & MOBILE POWER

The industry standard for cooling USFS yurts is the 3.5T portable AC unit. RAS, having been on wildfire incidents and as residents of Central Oregon, knows that the wildfire atmosphere is superheated even many miles away from the actual incident. We provide state of the art 5Ton AC units that are very efficient. Our canopy tents are ducted tightly and completely sealed to maintain an efficient air and heat transfer. Our generators are California emission certified and of premium quality. It is very important to us to not only provide equipment at the highest levels of specifications but also to be as fuel efficient and low emissions as is possible with current technology. Our respect and appreciation of National Forests extends to every aspect of conservation and protection. Rockwell leaves no footprint.
